Kicker I can see the point, but its not practical. You dont need anywhere near that to have good sound quality...its more of a novelty/testosterone thing. Its awesome to have your whole block shaking once and a while, but personally, I get tired of it after about 3 days of non stop pounding bass in my car and end up either turning it WAY down or turning the subs off all together. My system is only 1300 watts between all 3 subs (2 12s and a 15) and its louder than most people I know who are running 1800-2000w...

Rap is greatfun to listen to and show off with but I'm all about having that studio quality sound in your car, with the ability to shake pictures on the walls of houses you pass.

amplitude Some people use their cars as a traveling entertainments system. I don't know when it's overkill, but it's always cool to pop the trunk and have some tunes when you are chilling on the beach .

Going over board?

I can understand why someone would want to have a good audio system in their ride, but when you reach in excess of 2000 Watts, what's the point?
