neutron Well the 2.0 version has web browsing, here is a video of it in action youtube.com/watch?v=Ei4KjhiK4To , I don't know about the original ones tho, but I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to.

jvc I've gotten my wife the Kindle DX (big one) for Christmas. Free 3G comes with it, but I thought the only web browsing was for books. It'll be nice if it will browse more than just books.

neutron I'm actually thinking about buying a kindle, if nothing else to ready all my ebooks on the fly, since I have some spare time on the commute, also they are web browsers too and integrating mp3 into something these days is quite easy.

Re: MP3 book reader

Generally almost everything is a dual purpose these days, when is the last time you saw somebody actually use a phone only as a phone? I imagine however that originally the intention was for it to play audio books too, not necessarily music.

Re: MP3 book reader

I don't know anyoine who has one of these but I found this on a net search. I have no idea if this is a reasonable price but in general I'm not a major fan of dual purpose products. I imagine a stand alone MP3 and an eBook reader would be cheaper.

What do you all think of the dual purpose eBook readers/MP3s? Is Palm the number one provider for these products? I'd never really heard of them until recently, yet they seem to have been around a while.
