The Stereo Integrity BM series subwoofers were specifically designed to reproduce music effortlessly and accurately, while also supplying you with the best bang-for-your buck when it comes to loudness without requiring a 1000 or 1500 watt amplifier to drive a single speaker.

All of our soft parts are chosen and/or designed with a specific purpose in mind. The voice coil of the BM is made of copper to help add weight to the moving assembly. I know the last sentence seems odd from a company that prides itself on light moving mass, but the rest of the soft parts on the BM are so light that we needed to use copper in order to get the correct amount of moving mass. In subwoofers designed for low-end bass, moving mass is an essential and critical part of the speaker design. Too little mass and you won’t have any bass. Too much mass and you’ll have nothing but rumbling muddy boomy bass. The paper cone we use has a unique blend of paper and other fibers, which when finished and treated in our own proprietary way, has just the right strength-to-weight ratio for the BM’s purpose.

BM subwoofers also use a deep, high-clearance basket. Now why would we use a high-clearance basket on our mid-line drivers? We use the basket because:

1. It allows for more peak travel than other conventional baskets
2. The baskets afford more space between the moving parts (such as the distance from the spider to the cone) so that the moving parts of the speaker never come in contact with each other, which reduces distortion.
3. Increased clearance reduces the chance of the voice coil leads tapping at high excursion.
