Pros: Performance/Price Ratio
Cons: The flimsy cords seem to be prone to shorting, but Westone has always been great at servicing.

The UM2's enter the dual driver sector of the in-ear world. The purchase was for on stage performances as my monitors.

I've used Shure E1, E3, and E5's in the past and highly recommend the UM2's over all of them.

Standard 3.5mm jack with 50" cord.

They are very articulate in sound. I was very impressed with the low-end clarity. There was a very unusual sound that I have noticed with the other monitors (Mainly the E1&2). For lack of a better word, it was very sibilant like and very distorted. Sure, they may have been being driven past their limits (live stages are loud), but I've yet to have this complaint with the UM2's.

Very efficient and clear across the FR range. I highly recommend them to be bought from www.soundpro.com, being as they have the lowest prices on pro audio I've ever seen. Around $275 if I recall correctly.
