Spectrum Sludge is the thickest noise and vibration paste on the market. One coat is all you need to achieve the minimum effective thickness of 1mm but a total thickness of up to 4mm can be applied in a single coat if desired.

Whether you are looking to eliminate obnoxious vibrations or reduce unwanted road noise, Spectrum Sludge has proven to be the easiest most efficient vibration paste on the market.

Spectrum Sludge is not a mass loader. It is an elastomeric polymer that works by converting the vibrations in to barely detectable heat. This conversion of energy makes Spectrum 300% more efficient than mass loaders while weighing half as much, and once cured is odorless and self extinguishing.

Because Spectrum Sludge is a curing polymer, it won't chip or crack under extreme temperatures or abuse, making it perfect for use as an interior coating or as an undercoating.

When you purchase Spectrum Sludge, you will get 2 containers. The first is a regular gallon of Spectrum, and the second is a small bottle of Sludge Activator. Simply mix the activator in to the gallon of Spectrum to increase the viscosity to the thickness of your liking. The more Activator you add, the thicker it will get. Spectrum Sludge is too thick to be applied with a gun, so a paint brush or putty knife is ideal.

Suggested thickness:
40 mils (1mm) minimum
80 mils (2mm) is better
120 mils (3mm) is ideal
Simply add a bottle of Sludge Activator (included) to a gallon of our regular Spectrum coating to change the viscosity from chocolate syrup to peanut butter.
