Default VHS Recorders

Does anyone still own a VHS recorder, I did up until a couple of years ago, you can't beat the fun of adjusting the tracking to get the picture perfect.

Sadly not. I have some great old shows recorded on the tapes but I haven't bothered to replace the last one since it died. I am considering a Panasonic DMR-EZ47V - DVD Recorder/VHS Combi when I need a new machine.

I had to look on Google to see what tracking means! I had a TV that did that when I was a kid but I don't know anyone who has a VHS player. I can't imagine why anyone would want one now to be honest. Tapes are tempremental whether in a video machine or a tapedeck.

I still own one for my old tapes, but I'm considering digitizing them so that they don't fade away in case anything should happen to the tapes. Looking back on the quality, I don't know how I survived before HD .

Yes, I still a VHS video camera that I bough 15 years ago and it still works great. But I noticed that the quality of video recording has decreased significantly or at least when comparing it to hi definition video cameras that are sold today.
