Brahma is already legendary for providing pace-setting performance in a very affordable and attractive package. Now we kick it up a notch, with Brahma Mark II. Available now, this new design pushes the limits even further.

Designed from the ground up by Adire's own engineers, they are destined to change the way drivers are built. Brahma uses our new Patent Pending XBL2 TM Technology, which allows Brahma to set a new benchmark in terms of sheer linear sound quality and SPL capability.

The Mark II Brahmas have a redesigned motor for better cosmetics, as well as enhanced performance. They feature a black nickel finish (rather than the black enamel) for better scuff-resistance and higher heat transfer. Beveled back plate adds a distinctive look as well as reduces weight by removing excess steel. And higher strength magnets allow for even more BL. Add in a 12 spoke basket (like our DPL12 and Tumult), and the overall package not only looks tougher, it IS tougher.

Brahma is designed for extreme SQ/SPL situations. It features dual 2 Ohm voice coils (1/2/4 ohm wiring options), 1600W RMS power handling (4800W peak), a 3" diameter voice coil, 8" flat progressive-rate spider, and a host of other state-of-the-art features. Big SPL isn't a problem at all.

HOWEVER, Brahma also delivers world-class sound quality. This unique design greatly reduces the distortion, lowers inductance, and increases overall linearity of the driver. Of particular interest with all Brahmas is not just the flat BL curve, but the flat Kms (suspension) curve. Over the central 20mm of throw (further than most driver's complete range of motion), Brahma's BL and Kms exhibit less than 2.5% variance. Both the motor and the suspension of Brahma are heavily optimized for extreme levels of linearity - some of the highest linearity on the market today, at any price.

Because of the mid-value Qts and tiny Vas numbers, Brahma drivers are ideally suited to very small enclosure sizes (or, in many cases, infinite baffle applications). Here's some box guidelines:
