Zelco, manufacturer of assorted home goods, has introduced a pair of bone conducting headphones called the Outi. Bone conducting headphones work by transmitting sound waves through the skin and cartilage of your ear. Specifically, the Outi phones include an external amp that drives a special pair of headphones that clip onto your ears. The amp is battery powered and runs for about 6-8 hours on a 90 minute charge.

The headphones supposedly create a new aural experience the company calls a “sensual new surround sound.” So, if regular headphones aren’t uncomfortable enough for your tastes, Outi headphones are available now in limited quantities for about $110.
