Clarion DUB278RMP Has Some Big Buttons, Is Hideous

Clarion’s goal in creating the DUB278RMP double-din head unit was to maximize functionality while minimizing the number of required buttons. The unfortunate result is this… thing. If the “My First Sony” brand was still around, and they made a car stereo head unit, this is probably what it would look like.

What appears to be some sort of knob on the left is actually just a cap for the USB port, which allows the DUB278RMP to read up to 15,000 digital music files in up to 255 folders from a thumb drive. Additional features are mp3 and WMA CD-RW support with an ID3 tag display, an aux input for mp3 players, 728 adjustable display colors, and a 4 x 50W MOS-FET amplifier. The Clarion DUB278RMP – simple enough for, and as attractive as, a caveman.

the slidetrack faces on some of their other head units is pretty sweet.
