The DAC Super Pro USB from Audio Magus certainly casts little doubt about what it is or what it does. This rather cute little purple DAC is built around a CS-8416 D/A signal receiver, a CS-4398 24bit/192kHz D/A converter and dual LT1364 Op-Amps for the analog output circuit.

It features optical and coaxial digital inputs, and a USB port for use with a computer, making it a great companion for laptops, as its price ($109.95 including cables) is lower than most PCMCIA or ExpressCard based soundcards.

Over the years i have blown all kinds of money to make the old computer match the cd player. Well the old cd player is on the back burner now.
Use .flac/.ape music to usb connection to this little DAC to real audio equipment (adcom/energy) and hold on. This was the missing link to real quality listening from the computer HD. The old Audigy 4 goes to ebay. Mr. Wu at diykits is a salesman who aims to please and for $119 he really delivers. Get this DAC!
