The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 6

Bang & Olufsen's newest member of the BeoSound lineup is a rather pricey portable audio player. The BeoSound 6 is 3.5" tall and .5" thick while weighing just 2.3 ounces. The digital audio player has a 1.8" TFT LCD screen and comes standard with 4GB of internal storage. The unit comes with Bang & Olufsen's A8 headphones, but there are also built-in speakers that can be used. The player supports the standard file formats (MP3, WMA and OGG) and a plug-in allows iTunes to be used with the standard BeoPlayer music organization software. B&O is claiming 40 hours of playback time from each charge, and the unit comes with a USB cable, charger and of course a fancy pants leather case to show those iPod drones that pleather is so 90's.

The BeoSound 6 is expected to be available in October or November with a price right around $710.
