Cremonas, New and Improved

Italian speaker manufacturer, Sonus Faber, released the upgraded version of its Cremona line this summer. The new Cremona M speakers use a slightly different cabinet than the old to help reduce unwanted reverberation. The Cremona remains a three-way speaker including two 7-inch mid-bass drivers, one 6-inch mid-range driver, and a single 1-inch ring-radiator tweeter. The mid-bass comes from aluminum/magnesium coned drivers as the mid-range uses a wood fiber cone. The Cremona M is a 4-ohm speaker that can handle between 50 and 250 watts, it is 3.5 feet tall and weighs just over 80 pounds (mostly due to the 20 layers of solid maple making up the cabinet). The Cremona M sells for just under $11,000 per pair.
