For their newest demo vehicle Kicker went to what is quite possibly the harshest environment for an install anywhere, the Bering Sea. The fishing vessel lucky enough to receive the Kicker install was the Cornelia Marie. She and her crew are featured on the hit Discovery channel show "Deadliest Catch," and take part in Alaska's craziest line of work. Kicker dealer Safe & Sound out of Anchorage installed a 15-inch Solo-Baric L7 subwoofer, two 12-inch CompVT subwoofers, four sets of 6.5-inch RS-Series Component speakers and three weather-hardy KB6000 box pairs. This wasn't the normal install as you can imagine though, and the trip from Anchorage to Dutch Harbor was 17 hours each way. So far it sounds like the crew loves the new audio system and Kicker mentioned that the film crew has had to tell the fisherman to turn it down numerous times.

Couple install pics after the jump.

I don't know how much you guys know about the Crab Fisherman in Alaska, but that tv show doesn't do them justice. They are regularly in seas that would make most people lie in the fetal position and cry like a baby. So hats off to them and I hope they get some good use out of their new audio system, they deserve it.

These guys deserve it...the job they do is scary to even imagine.

I'm sure Phil and crew will love it. :)

Neil is right. But I think that L7 might get 'kicked' a few times by accident.

Next week's all-new episode of Deadliest Catch will be an exciting one. The captains and their crews begin hunting the Opilio crab as a dual storm system challenges a patched Cornelia Marie and almost costs Time Bandit two men. Also, a medical emergency brings in the U.S. Coast Guard, but freezing spray puts everyone's lives at risk. New episodes premiere every Tuesday night at 9PM on the Discovery Channel
