EHX 2008 Pictures Part 1 - Electronic House Expo
Filed under: Home Audio
We made our way up to Orlando last week for the 2008 Electronic House Expo and snapped a ton of pictures as usual. Here is the first of three parts.

The Contractors Wire booth with the spinning sign.

Lots of mirror tv's at the show.

That is a whole HTPC tucked into that flat screen tv.

Pretty cool display showing their waterproof laptop with a constant drip of water that goes through the keyboard and comes out the bottom.

Some beautiful center channels and speaker from LEON.

If you have problems coming home drunk and urinating on your television, then these new waterproof tv's are for you. They can also be used outside.

Essoni had some very clean looking televisions with a nice faux wood bezel.

This was one of the coolest things at the show. Visual Sports uses a laser setup at the top of the screen that measures the trajectory of any object that goes past and relays the info to the computer. This works great for golf, soccer and even a paintball game they had setup (fake paintballs of course).

The Meridian F80 portable audio system.

Ever seen a 24kt gold $55,000 remote?

The Kaleidescape server and speed loading automated disc system.

A cool chair with lighted cup holders from First Impressions.

Designer Sound from Tampa was showing off tons of nice gear including these uber sexy open-baffle Jamo R909's.

Check out how thin this Hitachi tv is.

Another one of the coolest things at the show was Numinus' Star Domes. Shooting, stars, moon, ambient sunset lighting, this thing was badass and a must have for anyone looking to create the ultimate home theater.

You shoot foam balls out of it at the zombies on the screen and the laser measuring system tracks the shots and scores the kills. Videogames with actual controllers (golf club, paintball guns, soccer ball) in a sense. The game using the paintball gun was the same setup as the golf game pictured above it, and I guess you could even hit golf balls at the zombies if you wanted.

Did anyone see the Media Systems employees? With the bright colored shirts and hot chicks?
